چکیده
This study aimed to understand the size-specific spatiotemporal dynamics of bigeye tuna (Thunnus obesus) in eastern Pacific Ocean from 1991 2017. A delta-generalized linear mixed model was applied catch rate data by size class collected a Japanese longline fishery. The results showed that density varied spatially across Ocean, with spatial segregation size. mean predicted area (100–150 °W, 10 °S–10 °N) indicated adult fish (fork length (FL) > 152 cm) were mainly distributed middle this area, 110–140 °W both hemispheres. For intermediate stage (FL 115 < = cm), high-density found western and parts, but northern hemisphere east 120 °W. juvenile southwestern part area. Spatial restructuring response El Niño La Niña also observed. caused distribute EPO, respectively, smaller opposite Oceanographic conditions affect distribution movement differently according size, trends relative abundance different. We discuss reasons for different responses each category oceanographic conditions.

Age and growth of the bigeye tuna, Thunnus obesus, in the western Pacifi c Ocean
Bigeye tuna (Thunnus obesus Lowe, 1839) are a commercially important species of tuna inhabiting the warm waters of the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacifi c oceans. They are found across the entire Pacifi c between northern Japan and North Island of New Zealand in the west and from 40°N to 30°S in the east (Calkins, 1980; Matsumoto, 1998). Adult bigeye tuna are caught mainly by longlines, but substant...
متن کاملEffects of Gear Characteristics on the Presence of Bigeye Tuna (thunnus Obesus) in the Catches of the Purse-seine Fishery of the Eastern Pacific
Effects of gear characteristics on the presence of bigeye tuna (Thunnus obesus) in the catches of the purse-seine fishery of the eastern Pacific Overfishing of bigeye tuna in the eastern Pacific Ocean has motivated a search for pratical means of reducing bigeye catch. We develop a classification algorithm for the presence/absence of bigeye in purse-seine sets on floating objects, the dominant m...
متن کاملGrowth and mortality rates of bigeye tuna Thunnus obesus (Perciformes: Scombridae) in the central Atlantic Ocean.
Age and growth parameters were estimated for bigeye tuna Thunnus obesus Lowe, 1839 sampled from China longline fisheries in the central Atlantic Ocean from October 2002 to July 2003 and from August 2004 to March 2005. The von Bertalanffy growth parameters were estimated at L(infinity)=217.9 cm fork length, k=0.23 year(-1), and t(0)=-0.44 year. The total mortality rate (Z) was estimated to be fr...
